Daily Video Tips
Ms. Debbie,
I'm a right handed golfer and putt with left had low. In your first practice drill, you were teaching that grip. If I'm already using that grip for putting, would you recommend I use that grip style for chipping around the greens instead of the conventional? Thanks for any/all advise .
P.S. I'll go and practice your tips today.
I would totally try !! 100%%% let me know how it goes. Fitzpatrick had a go and look what happened :)

Great drills. Tried them yesterday. If they work really well (both did for me), would you actually use them for play? Matt F has great success with cross-handed. But I’ve never seen anyone use the other one, although it worked really well for me on practice green. Felt like the club was doing all the work.
Listen whatever works is good by me. There have been tour players to chip with the right hand only too in play. No rules or laws that say you can’t. Try it for a few holes then abandon if it’s too tough. Thanks for watching !!!
So you would use a SW for up to 25 yds, a GW for up to 50 yds and a PW for up to 75 yds?
Not necessarily
Depends if I want to keep ball flight under 30 degrees. Then I wld err towards gap at 55 plus
Douglas, a chip shot by definition is one that rolls farther than it flies in the air. Therefore you would probably not be hitting a chip shot from 50 to 75 yards. These would be pitch shots.- shots that fly farther than they roll- that would require a more standard setup and swing type albeit not a full swing for those yardages.
Would you use this hinge and hold chip for up to about 50 yds?
If I use my gap wedge to hit it 50 then yes for sure. It’s a cut off finish. I can use my other wedges for that yardage but for example the 56 would be half way thru - so cut off at half way. Let me know if that helps and thanks for watching !
